hi,wondering if anyone can shed some light on what my problem may be,when accelarating slowly its like its holding back,when cruising feels similar,kind of pulses,boost gauge doesnt change,new plugs .65mm,phase sensor gap ok,cleaned rotor and cap,but my knock sensor wires were damaged so rewired it,could this be the problem?using msd closed loop chip on standard baby board so wondering now if its not got correct ign timing and going it to a kind of limp mode?only noticed it after putting in new thermostat!is running slightly hotter now tho,have set tps to within the resistances aswell,maybe set it by the voltage?any help much appreciated thanks col93saphcos

 

My old car (mondeo) had the exact same symptoms you are describing, I replaced the lambda sensor and that fixed it....

 

running rich? timing?

 

checked yesterday,emmisions set to .9 on idle when hot,no obvoius smoke and old plugs looked quite good,would a dodgy knock sensor affect the running of it?can i test lamnda sensor?was replaced before mot last year but not to say its dodgy,seem to replace it every year!lol,thanks col93saphcos

 

dissconect it mate it will still run with out it fine...
