I gave up with Christmas at least 20 years ago.
It's just a couple of days off to me, same with New Year and Easter and birthdays.

Think yourself lucky... only 1 day off a year, Christmas, (not including holiday and whatever other 2 days, If I'm lucky, I get off in the week) and don't get any more pay for bank holidays etc.!

I am more christmasy than normal, I am more of a baahhhhh humbug type, but for some reason I am more festive, I think its due to my youngest being 5 and realy excited about it

Am kicking the other half out to her mums tomorrow for the day. My sister has agreed to bugger off from my fathers for the holiday period, so me and him will be round his place rebuilding some of the bits on the Cabriolet engine bay, getting the old Triumph motorbike running sweet again and then I'll probably give the Saff a quick wash over. Then off to start the same again on Boxing Day

Hell, I even stayed late in work today after everyone else had left early for Christmas, just so I could get ahead of myself ready for when I go back on Monday

Although it is bad when you get threatened with having your work keys removed for the holiday period because the management know you will be in there working just to get away from family....

Wroxham's nice though, lots of totty too, but Sea Palling was my hang out years ago, but I am 43 or 44 now lost count!!
I let other half do all the x mas stuff as she gets well excited, she never had a single present in her life till over 16 as was abused by her relatives mentally as well as other ways, she even tries to sneak a look through gaps on the pressies under the tree, she's worse than any kid.
For her pressies I just let her loose with my card and pray I'm not bankrupt when she gets back, that way she gets what she wants, not what I think she wants, you can only buy so many ladies "toys", that's my kind of pressie!!

first christmas in australia and it's strange lol hot and sunny so feels fook all like christmas to me. it's the first christmas i'v not worked for years as i worked in a refinery and worked the shutdown repairing mobile plant. so for me it's baa humbug at least i don't have to visit family anymore trecking round doing the social thing

Not bothered about christmas either spent most nights after work being draged round the shops to buy presants with money i aint got for people i don't see from one year to the next, now it's all over and nothing to show for it.
