Ok u have a sumg feeling also for such wit......but i have you know my landrover has been the most reliable and most fun vehicle i have ever owned.

If it was a choice over the escort cossie or the landie id take the truck out for a spin!!

10 3/8" would look silly on the box and 10.4" is close enough the same.

Same as laptop sizes - I.E. 15.4" / 13.1" etc.

Why would 10 3/8 " Look silly, thats the proper way, what next loose the pound to the euro

Tho maybe we should have done that years ago, would probably be about 1/3 better off than the country is at the moment!

I for one find it easier to work in a base 10 system.

We changed our currency to Decimal back when I was in P3, thank fuck - trying to work from 12 pennies in the shilling, 20 shillings in the pound, 21 shillings in the Guinnea, etc is too much like hard work.

I never understood quite why we decided to persist with Inches and Pounds (weight)

its a valid measurement though... used in the older engineering drawings all over rolls royce... its only the amreicans that use the fractions now...
