WTF Markk, I never said it was a bad shaft.....I said it'd be a weak link next to a jag diff capable of doing 1000bhp+
If a std shaft can handle 650bhp then thats great as it means I can spec a diff for that power (looking likely to be the 8.8 ford mustang diff) then its a good setup.
Couple the fabrication work with making the beam a 6 degree beam and you have a very good rear beam and diff suitable for 600bhp cheaper than a gripper or a nine inch.....
I think an 8.8 inch rear beam would be a hot seller in the UK as the diff options are good and cheap.

Beefy... been looking on ebay.com but can't seem to find much in the way of complete diffs.....I can find all the parts I think are required to build one for around $800 (roughly £550) ish. Waiting a few replies from people but it looks possible
Got an email of someone who can supply proper stub shafts to fit cossie shafts too will send email tomorrow.

I've bought my three 8.8" differentials at $150 each. These were non-LSD, and with a 3.08 ratio. All the new parts for these I've bought from Summit(except for the yokes).
You can get cheap kits on eBay. If I remember correct, my friend paid $430 for evertything(rebuild kit, new gears and LSD). He was running 540BHP and was very happy with how the diff worked out.
