I have seen 1 of these for sale here in OZ for offers over $1000 (400 pounds) it does not have the fuel rails or the throttle body, is it still worth the money? Also what else would i need to get to put it on a big turbo escort cosworth. in the future i would like to upgrade the power on the engine should i get it in preperation? or is the money better saved and used on other engine parts? Eventually i would like over 500 bhp from the engine.

The plenum cover and elbow are only available from companies such as collins as a complete kit and not seperate.I have a plenum but cannot get hold of an elbow anywhere,im going to get one made now.Jenvey do a replacement direct fit to rs500 elbow, throttle body, but it looks different to the original. There is also a bloke on ebay who has remoulded some from an original but hasnt got the throttle butterflys made yet,but have tried to contact him to buy one but has not replied.

i would much rather have an rs500 inlet, than a standard inlet with 4 big injectors! theres known gains in having a set of injectors further up the inlet track! how much is to be gained is small, but a gain is a gain LOL

this company used to sell the various repro bits to make up a 500 plenum, and I believe are the ones selling them on ebay - worth a call

Its the size of the throttle body and the sweep of the neck that gives the better power etc
Yes these modern injetcors are good but i will put money on it that the car would be much better with identical injectors with a 500 inlette

99% of road goin cossy's wi;; be just as good with standard or swedish manifold and 4 big injectors these days
the need for 8 injectors for the fueling are gone as technology has now got the seimens good enough for the job
the only real need for it is for originality or when realy pushing for the extra bhp or ft/lb right at the top end of tuning
just my opinion anyhow, gaurantee somebody dont agree but thats how i see it anyhow
