Best 4x4 head gasket for 400 ish bhp
Ive blown my head gasket on my saff, running light blues t34.63 etc just wondering what the best head gasket is to replace the group a one for me, also got a arp stud an nut kit thanks for any advice

Use a standard escort cosworth small turbo gasket, YB-1261 there better than goup 'a' gaskets.

Group A will do, but personally I'd be using a Cometic.
If you've got loads of money and want a "Belt & Braces" safety margin, then there's always the Mountune WRC gasket at about Ł400........ ! ! !
I'd pay the bit extra and use the Cometic gasket.

BUT with any of the above gaskets the block and head need to be machined to a level before fitment
otherwise its a waste of time

Totally Agree, just the lightest of skims to ensure that both surfaces are flat.

cometic multilayer are bang on for the money ive used 3 with no issues and not had block decked
one of my mate has used the same 1 twice and no leaks

genuine wrc are best imo but if engine is in and block face cannot be checked then group a.

gotta agree with that mate. in the 5 cossies ive had 2 out of 3 group a gaskets have failed ranging from 308 bhp to 360. and 2 wrc both 450 to 500 bhp and neither have failed.
