CTRL+ALT+DEL then check processes in task manager. Dunno if I was being hacked but my internet explorer was using insane amounts of ram.

Now running Firefox as a precaution now at least til its fixed

wouldnt worry about it using that much, it would do after 30mins of surfing.

Sometimes if your pc is really slow and bogged down its easier to just backup your data and reinstall windows, then put your stuff back on, its like a new pc then

managed once to get a PC with 256 RAM and that last had a lavasoft update in 2003 and norton installed (last used in 2005) to run ok without a format It also had a 40GB Hard drive with 3.6 gig of fragmented disk space

Was Well impressed. Its amazing what removing symantec/norton and windows defender does!!. And a good C-Cleaner clearup!
