Default Lambo Gallardo, what to look out for?

After a chat with Lee the other night and after checking prices it appears that a Gallardo's have fell out of bed pricewise and I wouldn't mind taking advantage of that.. Any genuine experience or tips that I should look out for?? I want a normal one not soft top..

Helen drove one at Donnington, thought it was a bit gutless, she told the owner that the Escort was faster.

My mate has one. He's had 3 now. Providing your going for a manual, Anything between 2003 and 2005 with E-Gear had transmission problems. According to my mate the Automatic setting would get stuck and won't go back into paddle shift mode.

Some people that my mate knows have had rattles from the engine after 12K.

If you would like i could put you in touch with him?

I drove one at the Stratford on Avon pay and drive thingy and I was pretty disappointed. I have to say I thought the 996 Turbo was in a different league and the V8 Vantage sounded nicer than both. Perhaps the Lambo comes alive at very high revs/high speeds, I don't know. If I won the lottery I don't think I'd bother with a Gallardo though, maybe a 430 or more likely a GT2

Having said that I normally drive a Sierra or a BMW 3-series...

with the amount of cars martin has got id rather have the 60k in the bank or invest in something ! 15k or more loss a couple of years later ! i know where my money would be !

but if its something youve wanted then i spose your gonna be willing to lose a bit on it !
