i'd rather have a shonky white,red,blue 2 dr saloon than a 4dr,my mate had a low miler that was one little old lady owner from new and under 30k, it was never welded and came with no history because i think she croaked and the car was sold to get the ladys estate cleared. it was a pisser when thickos on ebay who wouldn't know the differance between a 130k miler and 15 owners shed and a proper 1 lady owner and perfect bodyshell minter started questioning his intelligence.

i was told recently there is a escort mk1 and 2 specialist converting 4dr's into 2dr's

 

that actually crossed my mind..if thats the case there is every chance it will end up stripped and converted into a rally car......

 

I wonder how much he gave the "little old lady" for it!!???

plenty of 4 drs over here that are rot free but who wants one ??????? when looking for 2dr shells i found loads of the things for fook all money mk1 and 2

but if you seen in this months Retro Ford mag your see a 700Miles from new MK2 Escort X-Series (x pack) that they built in the FACTORY, only 6 to be known in this spec that left the factory, basicly had every RS asseray (spl) option that you could buy from a ford main dealer at the time & it is untouched in concourse condtion!
