Default Which HID/Xenons for an E46 BMW?

Looking to getting some. What are the ones i need for an E46 BMW? Can anyone recommend me any? Also can i get them to do dipped and main beam? TBH havent got a clue what im looking for so any help will be appreciated.

Unless you have projector type headlights you wont have the required cut off height needed for the lights and blind everyone coming the other way. If I was you I'd look on ebay for a second hand genuine xenon units.

What are projector headlights?

Will any of the kits on ebay be any good?

The bulb is held behind a convex lense sometimes called a fish eyes lense.

This is found on some aftermarket headlights for the E46 such a Depo Lights. I have the Depo's on my E46 but they're shit compared to genuine ones.

Do the kits interface with the car?

If not it will think the headlamps are out and warn you all the time !!

The better kits have the filters in to prevent the flicker/warning lights etc.
