Why can no fooker drive in the snow? I've been off work today due to the snow, and have spent my afternoon advising people on how to get up a moderate hill without wheel spinning into oblivion!
100% success rate!

Agree'd, i only use very light throttle in the snow, but in a 500bhp evo thats enough to do some nice big powerslides

About five years ago a 10-15 min journey from work to home took me 2hrs,all because there was a little bit of snow .What happens when the little white stuff comes down ? do people loose the ability to drive ?.IT seems that way in stoke-on-trent.In nearly ninteen years of driving i think i have been stuck 3 times and i think 2 of them was stuck behind bastards giving it beans and going nowhere on the mainroads and just creating packed ice for everyone else. Some people are just plain old THICK !!

Had 1 guy in an 07 audi tt dsg fail miserably. "i thought these were all 4wd" says i.
"not this" says the mush.
"put it in second, not too many revs" says i, "i can't" says the mush, "it's automatic dsg!"
Suffice to say he went backwards more than he went forwards, and gave up after 20 minutes! My vivaro did better!

I used to live on a hill and this guy in a swift gti crashed into my gate at the back and then couldn't get up the hill afterwards due to shit clutch control. Both I and the driving instructor next door pulled out at right angles to the hill and accellerated up the hill no problem. Its called common sense and clutch control. Out the front on a main road, people were literally dropping it into 2nd from 4th and booting it and then looking around in amazement when they started to slow down!!

years back there was a sudden freeze and EVERY road in the city had solid sheet ice on it, was savage.

even if you were on a mild slope, with brakes on you would slide, so you can imagine the panic as people attempted to go down steep hills and try and turn of half way down lol!!!

It took 2 hours to do a 5 minute journey and like a tit I went out to the shops and I was out for 4 hours!!!! got that daft I nearly parked up and walked home, but watching pedestrians go head over heals without warning, I figured I would save myself the indignity.

Never seen it as bad as that before or since, but jesus it was entertaining watching the dumb drivers attempt to gain abit of speed and then loose it big time lol!!!

Snow/ice is not an issue when you have proper tyres.

well OK American those tyre are pretty dam cool but maybe a little excessive for the U.K. lol

but..

i am staying in the south of Germany at the moment and trust me they get proper snow down here, not like the poxy bit of shite we get where after 14.5 seconds is just slush!!
they do make it a law here though where by the first snow fall you HAVE to have M+S tyres (mud and snow) obviously this isnt practical for us because we dont get enough, BUT that said the difference in grip levels is just astonising for something that doesnt have spikes like 'american's' tyres!!!
it would cetainly help to have a little more versatile tyre on cars during the shitty months though but its definatly no excuse for the shit bastards that get in there cars and sit on their brains!

rant over!!
