Default Multi-Car/Traders Policy Needed

Currently with Admiral on a multicar policy for the family cars.. and as its renewal time, just wondered if there were any other insurance places that offered this sort of thing so I could try and get a few quotes to compare.

Would probably be insuring 4 cars and possibly 5 if I get another runaround sorted out soon.

Failing that, is there a reasonable traders policy (I buy and sell my runabouts quite regularly) that would cover us on our cars.. youngest driver being 25?? Does it matter which cars we'd be covering, or is it blanket coverage for anything??

Cheers,
Grant

what age would you be mate? and how much where you paying for the policy?,the last time i had a traders it was 850 fcomp but that was years ago.i am only asking because even tho i am fcomp on my car i am restricted just to that vehicle,so my van is insured by my mate with me as a named driver and i am looking to get my missis another car.i ended up paying 440 with 10yrs no claims for me and my missis,i am 35 and she is 30 with a provisional and it took £300 off my policy putting her on the coz.takes the piss.a bit of track but what i am getting at is i didnt know you could get a multicar policy.

Err, details and cars would be:

05 330d Cabrio
06 Volvo S80
07 Impreza STi
96 JDM Integra TypeR

Me - 25
Mum - 55
Dad - 55

Wasn't sure if you actually have to be registered as a trader to qualify for one of these policies... or if you were to supply details/copies of sales then that would be ok? Also, one of the cars that would be on the policy, Integra, is a japanese import... and I'm not sure how imports go down with these policies either.

End of the day, I'm happy enough to go back to admiral (price dependant).. or try another private insurance multi-car policy but just thought it made sense seeing if a Traders Policy is possible because of the number of cars we need covered.

Cheers,
Grant

think there hard to come by the trades policys nowadays , as alot of peoples fucked it for us all , as mines went up £300 this year and never done anything wrong so jhad to move company and av been with the same company the last for four years

you,d just need to phone about mate theres plenty of numbers iin the back of the autotrader and since your 25 most of them will insure you .

Pace Ward do a fleet insurance which is basically a multi-car policy but they insist you insure at least 3 vehicles, give them a call on 01782 286311

I needed multi car cover. After mucking about about being shocked by the lack of cover offered by traders policys, i got four cars covered with Adrian Flux. Very reasonable quote considering the mods and my job.

yep trade policies are only suitable for trade people they do not offer the sort of cover you'd want for your own cars
