old mantas and chevettes, they don't do the numbers that old mk1 or 2 escort sports derivatives do.
also subaru impreza wrx ra's the early ones are the ones to keep same goes for stuff like early skyline gtr's

I think most car's to a certain degree will be classics but if you mean cult classics then thats a different story. I would like to think that the gul yellow Volvo 850 T5-R will be a future desirable classic.

fact.. old road car rally derivetives always do big money in the end, deltas, old early m3's,cozzies, they all go up. the worrying thing with clio's is that they did one and all the speculators bought them and then did another and another and the values of them turned to shit, if they stayed with just the first one i would agree.

i keep looking for a 1st gen legacy rs like mcrae drove, they will go up i assure you

I've had a black one for sale for a few months and I've had several viewers. They expect a new car and seem surprised that it drives like a 15 year old car. Full history, Rica chip,Steffinson suspension kit and back box. Excellent car for the money but I don't think they're going to be that desireable as the Volvo enthusiasts are a strange breed. Had one guy come from Manchester three times, HPI'd it, checked it with Volvo register and was happy. On the last visit, he comes along with his wife and she said, It's not like the one we had before." So, he didn't buy it!

One bloke mailed and called me for over a week and was near to tears because I was on holiday and he couldn't see it for a week. He does the HPI, checks with Volvo register and I told him each time that it's one of the better ones but don't expect a mint car. He liked it but said it was a bit rough. It was the first one he's ever driven.

So if the yellow one is going to be a desirable classic, it had better have delivery miles and plastic wrapped seats or one of the picky tw**s will find fault with it.

Anyway, surely the M5 will always be a classic, regardless of the model!

Not officially the supercharged was the G60 1.8

but you could buy a supercharger kit from vw for the vr6, a few had them as extras.

I had one of those and a 12 valve too and they are great fun, a very rare and underrated car. I'd have another if I could find a manual again but they are rare as fuck

Spot on!

All cars will become classics to a degree with age, due to just that!

Obviously, rarer and more interesting cars will become more valuable than the run of the mill.

But yes, I like the sound of all Corrados, Racing Puma, Clio Williams and V6, all M-Cars etc

I dont know about classics, but desirable - RB5 Scooby and the Colin McRae one.

M-Cars will be, especially the E34 as it was the last of the hand built M5's.
