Default Help With Fiesta ST Stereo...

my mate is trying to connect his 6006c stereo in his ST, but he is keeping the standard stereo in as well. he says he has the new stereo wired correctly, and is connecting his amp to the standard stereo.......but the new stereo isnt working any ideas??

how can you have two stereo's wired up together?

is it a new radio if it is it will need programing to the car before it will work

so he's wired up the second stereo and now that the amp is connected to the first stereo it's not working?

and he's confused YOU!!?!?!?!?

he needs to put one stereo into his car, and connect that same stereo to his amp, not put a second stereo into his car and then connect the one he's taken out to the amp and then stracth his head wondering why the stereo he's just unpliuged doens't work the amp

Sure he hasn't blown something by connecting an amp to a standard ford stereo? I think this could be a pics or stfu moment

edit:

what he is trying to do is connect the amp to the standard stereo. aparently they normally have a plug for phono leads to connect your amp, but his doenst have it, so he has brought an adapter and its not working......

now any ideas!?

yeah he did confuse me cause i thought i would ask you guys for help, but he didnt tell me half the story......lol

yes, he's got the wrong stereo leads

hth

has the radio he's plugged in got phone outs?
no?
what is he connecting the leads to then?
and has he connected the remote power to the amp to get it to work?
he will need a relay

those apapters dont have the ingition live for the amp

what he said

the amp requires a power supply to run it
it also requires a signal from the stereo to turn it on ortherwise it will sit there drawing power from the battery draining it faster than a bathtub with the plug removed
