Default Help with engine mounts on my mk3 rs16i

I did a search first, but no luck, so..........

I have a zetec turbo engine that is currently in a mk4 escort. I will be fitting it into my rs1600i.

I will be picking up a S1 box in a few days, will that bolt onto the zetec? What flywheel and clutch is best?
(The RS1600i currently has the original engine and box)

What mounts will i need to fit it all in?

Thanks for any help here guys!

standard mk3 mounts will bolt it up, if you had it bolted to a gearbox in a mk4 it will fit the mk3 but you will need to mod the mk3 mount as they're diff from the mk4 sadly

s1 box will fit onto zetec engine and will use the same munt from your rsi...mk3 engine mount will need a bolt hole taking off and welding on in a different position (if that makes sense?). me and my mate did this conversion and used the flywheel of the zetec..clutch is whatever u need in terms of power etc..iirc we used a s2 clutch

you need to weld a plate on the corner of the cvh mount, if you bolt the mk3 mount to the zetec engine you will see you can only get 2 bolts in and you need atleast 3 so welding a corner to it and drilling a new hole then notch mount around oil pump

Have a look on here. Click on engine and he writes about modding a mount to suit.
If you need one of the engine mounts he is talking about (rubber rare mount)
then i have a new one available.
