Default Anyone work for Virgin Media or Sky?

After 5 long years at Autoglass, I think it could be time for a change in direction, and thinking with my limited qualifications and skills (only other area I've worked in other than motors has been the music industry, which pays eff all!) this seems like a logical avenue to look at... I have a fairly decent grasp (I think) of media systems : TV (Sky/Freeview/VM boxes), broadband/internet/routers etc so this might be a suitable environment to work in...

So if anyone works for either of these two, any advice on the job and more importantly, how much do you get paid!?!?!?!

Was gonna go down this route but tbh its crap money for the long hours worked.
Many work the weekend and late and not much money is gained.

You mite be better gaining some qualifications in what u want to do at nite classes etc.

working for sky is easy money no matter what any one says i used to work for there biggest contractor witch paid very well 160 a day as long as u graft but its easy work so go for it. if u work for a contractor u have to do about 7 installs to make good cash cause they pay by job but sky have a day rate so they only give you 4 or 5 jobs easy day plus they give u a van and cheep sky

I was offered a job with Sky a few years ago (although subsequently turned it down) as an installer, apart from the shifts it seemed pretty good.

Ł25k a year ish from memory.
