Default My new car. Focus ST170

Dont worry i still have the cossie lol.

I bought this ST170 of a work mate. He had it for 3 years. I went to Skipton with him when he first got it and have done a bit of work on for him over the years so i know the car well.

I bought it off him for 600 quid. Its a full spec ST but sadly he never really looked after it.

Its a 2 owner car from new and its got 124k miles on it. Anyway here is some pics of it so you can see what state it was in.

Used my pressure washer to give the carpet a clean. The amount of mucky that came out was unreal.

The head lights are a bit cloudy. I won a pair of normal ST170 headlights on ebay for 16 quid. They were local so i picked them up. I know the lenses are slighty different but im hoping they will fit on the zenon headlights (ive got a funny feeling its not gonna be that easy).

Ive split them apart and cleaned the cylicone off oneof the lenses.

Ive also cleaned the leather seats and used Auto Glym leather treatment. The back seat had glue on the base. I used a scrubbing brush to remove the glue.

So the ST will be replacing my Ford Pooma. When i sell the puma i will properly miss it cause its been a good car.

I cleaned the imrc connections a few monthsback wheny mate owned it. Its also had 2 lambda sensors too.

There is no engine light on.

My mate said the drivers front heated seat stays hot even though its switched off? I was thinking it could be a sticky relay.

Should tidy up quite nicely! Have you tried cutting and polishing the headlights to see if they will shine up?

Lucky bastard for having a garage like that too!

Ritchie my matey bought the meguires headlight polishing kit and they looked better but they have gone cloudy again.

I wanted a big garage to keep the cossie in. Have you noticed the carpet lol. When we moved in the garage was the first room we did.

Since its a ford and they seem to like the rust i thought i would inject some waxoil mixed with engine oil into the sills.

Looks like a cracking car for the money and a great wee project.

If you want to have a go with the cloudy headlights, you can usually wet sand and then polish them back - providing of course the cloudiness is on the outside (which it usually is).

Thanks people.

Jason we used the meguires head light kit when my matey had it and this kit and some small bits of wet and dry in. It looked well for a few months then they went all cloudy again.
