Default Focus RS turbos....**NOW WITH PIC**

Can someone answer definitively please, what turbo are they? I thought they were a GT25, but I have been told they are anything from a GT28, to a T28...
And what power do they go up to on a FRS before you need to upgrade? A compressor map would be great too if there are any available?
Are they strong/weak/any good at all?
I've been offered one for my car, and it'll fit straight on, so im tempted. I'm not after huge power with it, up to 300 will be plenty.

Cheers

Steve

The standard turbo on the FRS is a GT25

T28 & GT28 are aftermarket turbos supplied by the likes of Pumaspeed, AET, etc

Standard turbo will be fine for power up to 300bhp that you're looking for

Not to hand Steve but have a look or post up on the FRS section of the RSOC (link below) & they should be able to sort you out with some

Im well confused. The one in the pic looks the same as one i have in the workshop... but have been told its a T28... its the same as the one in the pic, but im sure that is a std GT25 FRS turbo pictured?
Plus the one on my engine (fiat 20v turbo) is supposed to be a TB2810 (T28) but its way smaller than the one pictured
i'll get some pics of both turbos to clarify tomorrow

Steve - PM a guy called JohnFRS (username) on the RSOC site - he used to work for Garrett for many years building & speccing turbos & from the pic should be able to tell you exactly what turbo it is
