a batch of 200 Blocks were manufactured in Turkey; although the material used and inconsistencies in the cast caused premature failure of engines in high power applications

some fail at 600hp; some fail at 400hp. it seems like a lottery

Rod Tarry used one & MAD YUM used one and both engines failed as a result of turkish blocks (nikasil liners moved)

in mild road use i'm sure the block would be OK, but why take the risk?

i believe the 200 Turkish blocks can be identified by a 99 number cast into the block (exhaust side i think )
