Default Noooooo! Not now

i dont believe it . here i am all ready and happy i have a new job.(great day)

i got in the car to go see a pal and only a little light boost i noticed there was something wrong

alot of white smoke and my car now sounds lik a scooby.

i start pullin leads out a no3 makes know difference unpluged.... it still was boostin and smoke died down on boost but at a stand still a little light revs and it is porin out the back

this could n ot have happened at a worst time.

fookin sick!!!!

piston ring would not give off white smoke!that would be blue smoke as it would be burning oil!are you losing water?

I know mines not a Turbo, but when my CVH sounded like a Scooby it was the Big end Bearing in cylinder 1, looks like there was oil starvation co when I had the rods out, it was the only oil way that I had to clean.

how long should it take to build pressure? i dont have any tools here but i will take plugs out tomorrow and do a compression test. i am prayin its just a head gasket not piston or valves

should take a while to pressure up!have it running for say a couple of mins they should be no too little pressure!i doubt very much its piston/valves just through the colour of the smoke!i would say you have a head gasket failure on cylinder 3!

If it was between two cylinders, would that cause the Scooby sound?

yes as its misfiring due to water ingress/pressure loss on the cylinder

when my old 200sx sounded like a scooby it turned out it was because it had burnt a hole in an exhaust valve.

i still drove the peice of shit to work for 3 months on 3 cylinders tho while i sourced another engine, used less fuel too, but was piss slow

no smoke tho lol, that was cos the turbo was fucked

Check your thermostat works ok before trusting a gauge. had a R5 that never moved the needle, sat in traffic one day and blew the head gasket, had to have the head skimed, but it was to late, just kept poping head gaskets like no tomorrow.
