Right mate, I asked you a question on another thread but I think you missed it so here goes again!
Basically I just wondered what model your car left the factory as and what's been done to it since.
Cheers matey

can't beleive scott came back saying "love your diff, goes sideways so nice" when its actually a standard 4x4 diff with a knackered slipper
and ginge, thats is NOT how you change gear!
SOOOO glad nobody crashed it lastnite

dont think so as its still not a high nicking risk, not veryu fast either past 3500
, but fooking moves before then
, it fun to drive too
prob a much safer car on the road than my cossie ( it has working brakes too
)

bluesmoke, its a heft increase over a normal 2.0 GLSi, but was only 200quid a year more than my XR4s.
im 21 3 years driving, 2yrs NCB - normalish risk postcode
i pay 1050 TPFT with chriss knott, but i'd been with them for a while and have a history of high ins. group cars with them so am considered a lower risk than sum1 that just rings up for a quote randomly
i got a quote from greenlight for 1100 FC (but was too late by then)

Looks like I'll be 23 by the time I get my license, which sucks big time. Probably be getting something like a 2ltr Capri or something to get me used to the RWD action before moving onto something more powerful in a few years.
Hopefully one of the cheaper Skyline's hehe!
but I'll take a taxi failing that!

well my 1st RWD car was an XR4i which for most people would be considered a low powered car...
before this i owned some very fast 4wd turbo sierras...
...the 4i scared me
seriously, it was a very steep learning curve for letting back end come out etc... didn't take long for this to happen:

i had also been in a few near misses which could have caused much more damage (to more than just my car) and im thankfull they did not.
the saph is actually VERY controlable in a slide (much moreso than the 4i!) and even tho it has more power and will constantly spin up the rear wheels in 3rd gear (wet), it doesn't bother me very much, as its very easy to bring back in... i think its just a better set up car, and also i've got a bit of experience with RWD now...
looking back, i thoguht i could handle RWD and i jumped in feet first, i coudnt... i really coulda done with a lot more practive/learning in huge carparks etc. luckily nothing nasty happened in it, but the potential for a crash was there every time i drove it...
if you do go for a capri etc. FIND A BIG CARPARK AND DO LOTS AND LOTS OF SLIDES AND DONUTS the only way to learn how to control it if it goes, you cant just learn the theory, you need to practice, and practicing on the road is NOT safe

Jumping in a Capri was the quickest way I learned to drive properly, only put it in a ditch twice and hit one kerb.
First ditching - second day I had it, it decided to absolutely piss it down in the middle of summer, 80 mph overtaking, braked to pull back in and off I went
Kerb - lorry coming the other way, braked very hard and it pulled to the left (out of the way thankfully)
Second ditching - tried to take a corner near santa pod with shite tyres and the chassis still bent from kerb incident.
Harmless fun
Don't buy one in the winter!
