I thought plated diff's do make noises and do feel clunky anyway? Although I do know they need fairly regular oil changes and the plates can wear, perhaps thats an issue....
Radders - probably normal mate - my clio feels terrible on full lock in one particular direction cos of my plated diff - makes up for it on track though! lol
may be a daft question but how do you know its the diff?
I don't personally, Its not my car! Its my friends. He seems to think it is, everything else has been checked and its just been through an MOT plus its only just got back on the road. He did have a problem before, but he changed the oil and it cured it. But its been 2 years off the road, and now its back on, everything is getting checked! Its the same problem as before, which was the diff. Its fine in normal driving, just tight turns and parking it knocks like a bitch lol.
