that was a shocker .maybe i need to see it from a different angle but to me it looked like gerard came flying through the air straight through the athletico player with his feet high sending the defender spinning ....and gerard gets the penalty?

I was sat in the Kop and i didn't for one second think it was a pen, but the Lino gave it so that's the end of that.
It's pointless pointing the finger, because i can show you instances of plenty of United players who dive;

Ps Inter Milan last season were played off the park at Anfield, so i dunno what you're getting at with that one, Wigan had a good first half but we played well second half and got the win, and how did Atletico deserve to win? Maybe the pen wasn't a good decision, but we were the better side, we were the ones pushing for a goal and to be fair we could or should have had a pen for a hand ball.
It wasn't a great game or anything, but i wouldn't say madrid deserved to win, they were pretty average considering the attacking talent they had available.

fuck it anyway, football wouldnt be what it is without controversy, all the other teams have had there fair share of diving moments and unfair decisons, so who actually cares, i know myself and the other scoucers dont, as for tottenham if it wasnt for carragher scoring for you "AGAIN" you wouldnt of won, you where shite the first half and 20 mins into the next, u got lucky and stuck back to hold onto it.
