Well, today I attended two Rememberance Sunday Parades with the sqn, sat through two church services.....its the only day a year I actually goto church as I am not religious, but it certainly brings it all home to you what our servicemen gave up to us.

With all this talk lately about moving aborad etc, this country is going down hill fast, I'll tell you what, yes I have had those thoughts too......but, when stood out on a Parade, infront of the local war memorial, along side current servicemen, ex service men, cadet forces and other groups, with two union jacks flying, bright blue clear skys and the last post/national anthem being played, ive never felt more proud to be British.

Anyone else attend local parades today?

It really is most humbling when the President of the Legion/Vicar etc reads out all the names of people that died from the town, during service to their country in the two world wars.

I didn't go this year cos the missus was suffering from a hen night hangover but we went last year to show our respects. I'm proud to be British too, areholes to those who says it's not "P.C." to be patriotic
