Default Time to buy a new car

It looks like my residence visa will be with me within the week so it's time to start looking as to what car to buy. I was going to get a car through work but it was big and boring so I decided to take the money instead.

Cars out here in Dubai are so cheap it's unreal!!

Tricky thing is deciding on a car;

I thought about a new 997 GT3 RS so that I can use it at the autodrome at weekends and some nights when they have open track nights but think it might be a bit to track orientated for day to day use.

Cayenne Turbo would be good for over here day to day, infact would be ideal but would look like a tw4t going round a track.

I've fallen in love with a car that I cant afford as you always do in the form of an SLR.

Dont want a prancing horse.

I like the Aston Martin DB9's but I would always want the DB9RS which are not road legal so that fucks that.

Think it all boils down to a 997 Turbo and get it straight to the house of cars dubai for the upgrade

997 GT3RS is VERY VERY road usable!!!

much much more than a 996 GT3 or GT3 RS was...

suspension is far more compliant and yet still hardcore when they need to be.

Turbos more road biased though... and with the right suspension mods will still be awesome on track but not as rewarding as GT3RS....

LOVELY decision to have to make though.

Be careful... revised GT3 and Turbos anytime soon with new PDK boxes and engine upgrades...

Great to hear you are enjoying it and doing well mate. Well done!

Looking around the 70k mark for a GT3 RS.

Cheers for the heads up on the PDK boxes. Will ask the dealer about that.

You can get a new R8 for 70k but they are so common over here lol

Lee i'm loving it mate, going to go on Friday and have a look properly. Delivery would only be 3 weeks as well as there are loads in stock!

Sure is, I went last night. Decided on the GT3 RS.

The price all in and registered and insured which is a big point as it's based on 5% of the cars value works out at 81k!

The insurance is really strange out here it's the car thats insured so anyone can drive it.

Oh and it's BRIGHT ORANGE!!!!!!!

Would still like pictures, and it depends how much you want for it, as the value of everything is dropping, so it's a buyers market .
