martin - I don't rate your chances from reading this from the MLR:
We were there on monday night late on and the place is empty. You could see through the letterbox that they had stripped the office/shop bare and there was junk just left all over the floor. All the cars that were left outside on a night have gone with the exception of a Blue Discovery (old 200/300 model) and a Black Pulsar GTI-R that was stripped and had no wheels on.
All the windows had been virtually blocked up as well with blue tarpaulin but you could just see in side and there was nothing in there that we could see. You don't just un-bolt a rolling road and pop it in the back of a transit now do you!
This HAS been planned well in advance...

Because you may have noticed what a shambles it was and left accordingly maybe ? I remember you posting how priviliged you were to move North to work there and you didn't stick around too long. Didn't mean anything else by it.

There were a few things that happened during the year i worked at RC that i wasn't happy about, however, nothing at all on the levels discussed on the MLR. The standard of work during the time i was there was high. However, every week saw us in the workshop for between 80 and 100 hours and i personally was on an annual salary with 35hrs a week contracted and paid. Initially i believed it was to clear the backlog of work. With time i came to realise that the rate work was coming in was faster than we could get it out.

Based on the evidence given above:
This story pisses me off ….. the workshop manager comes out saying ‘Danny’ fucked the company up with finances bla bla, that he was to engrossed in the workshop to realise , that he isn’t a business man etc etc (Washing his hands totally)
What about the cars they left outside to rot ?, the blue evo that was treated like shit , all the shody jobs…… after all he is the WORKSHOP MANAGER !!!
is that dannys fault as well?
Do business with anyone from RC at your own peril!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry to come out swinging ! but I hate companies that rip decent trusting people off.

can't believe the story from the time attack guys, i've left my car with seperate tuners for months on end but i'm on the phone/going down every week asking how things are? what needs to be done? etc etc
If I was getting the kind of service the guy with the time attack evo was I would of pulled it well beofre and demanded my money there and then, he's waited and is now 40k out of pocket!

The thing that amazes me the most is the guys that lost all the money who went along with being ushered outside and also to the surreptitious meetings "offsite". If that ever happened to me, the alarm bells would be ringing so loud that I would be deaf . I would have not had any further dealings with them until I had spoken to the owners. Until then I would circumvent that person IMMEDIATELY and not communicate any further until I was satisfied all was well!
What on EARTH were they thinking?

Best to wait for the official report from the legal parties involved.

I cant see the full storey ever coming out, and i find it hard to believe all this was going on for so long, and how smoothly the other partners have walked away.
And about the fq400, why would you pay up front for engine and all that work, and give them the car before they were ment to start work on it. Paying for parts or a good deposit till it arrive's maybe.
Then after they have f-cked your around for a year, with lie's, buy new brakes off them, upfront again.

there have been some scandals going on behind the scenes and, if i were any of the parties involved in said scames, i'd be wanting to make it very clear that i was not in any way shape or form invovled with it and then fuck off and hide in a corner
blaming it on someone else just means that you aren't doing any of the solving of the issues yourself, and seeing as someone has alraedy pointed out that the workshop manager would have been dealing with leaving cars parked up outside the premisis even though they may not have had anything to do with someone else floggin the parts, should have raised some eyebrows if you are talking about a brand spanking new £40k motor surely

Mike I agree with you, there is a lot that is not known about the whole affair. The thread on the MLR is a complete load of tw@ts who know nothing than stirring up trouble. I have had stuff from RC for several thousand pounds, always was given a receipt and never been ripped off in any way at all.
