Bit of a surprise to see that. Couldn't be bothered reading all of the 10 pages at this time at night. What was the reason for going into liquidation?

I heard a rumour a few weeks ago that they had difficulties, hope they get back on their feet soon.

right it does look like maxy wong was indeed sommat to do with rc, i never knew that. Maxy always had loads of overpriced jap imports @ Car Planet imo, nice gear but fook me they were dear, you could save thousands by shopping around and where did Maxy get loads of his motors from ??? Japan which is where the cheap stuff is, does a fella called Ahmed have anything to do with it all,he drives a new GTR and a Bentley Gt

Shows how much money is usually made in the tuning industry in reality imho.

Blatant mis-management imho, why the hell was a company with money problems doing time attack with its associated expenditure. They should have spent more time focusing on customers and suppliers. I feel worse for many of the customers who now have no chance if getting what they are paid for and suppliers which are owed money.

Think its terrible when one company goes into liquidation and people are being directed to another company owned by the same people. What about the suppliers which are owed money!!

Flying a car out to japan when you are in financial difficulties.

By the sounds of it Car planet (same owner, new name) have illegally removed assets from RC. There is no way the administrators would have compiled a list of creditors and assets yet. It usually takes months but Car planet have already got the RC rollers.

Yea, I read that, along with the 'suggestion' that they have been in this situation three times before i've no idea if that is true, but its certainly a shocking suggestion.

i didn't know there was anything shifty going on in the car world

ok, so can someone give us a jist of what's gone on and what they think has happened?

reading some of the above, it's like that scene out of goodfella's where they torch the chip shop, only this time, it's oriental gangsters in on the action

aha, i seem to have found a post that tells it like it is

allegedly

As most of you know that Clive is to trusting for his own good and dedicated himself to his work,he thought he found some one who could take care of the other end of the business as in look after the customers needs and help them as much as they needed, but with him not being on top of the game plan it gave the opportunity for other people to (probably) make a little extra money each week at first and then it must of gotten out of control, but at the end of the day you don't just get out of bed one day and say I'M going to ROB my works money,it must of been in that person from day one.I have court him out on a few occasions just on stupid things but they all add up to him being a sneaky liar and I don't think the other half is as innocent ass to the nice big wedding and honeymoon,(but I could be wrong)he wasn't on enough money at work to pay for it and a few questions were asked about how it was payed for just before he was found out, there my thoughts on it a good business gone down the pan because of some Robbin dogs arse.

there's more

I am very sorry to hear this news as I was a part of RC for over 5 years and watched them grow and grow. The dedication and team spirit and talent was unmatched. When we used to attend events it was like we were all brothers.

I felt great pride when I used to be part of RC Developments but when Danny arrived I was pushed out by him.

I can't believe that Danny has damaged RC so badly and drained it dry for his own ends.

I hope he gets what is coming to him for doing this to my once close friends.

so save yourself the hassle of reading 13 pages of posts all saying the same thing by waiting until someones posts the "official" line

otherwise you've got someone going to prison for slander etc becuase someone who might or might not have been md is now carrying the can for rc going belly up when they were skint a year ago

allegedly

etc

apparently danny was the md of the company and, going by what's been posted, and there are several different variations on the matter, he was put there because this other fella clive, trusted him

there are a few more names on the list but i don't know what part they played in it

the general jist of it seems to be finger pointing at danny for skimming money off the top of the business, clive being a twat and not figuring it out, too much money being invested into time attack, everyone being owed lots of money, someone else raving about how good this car planet is and the decidedly dodgy version of events that seems to have sen the Ł250k worth of rolling road from rc ending up at car palent when they bought it for a fiver

make of that what you will but it's a lot of money for a rolling road

This sort of stuff goes on with Ltd companies all the time i dont see why everyone is so shocked that a guy with two ltd companies has decided to fold one and move it into one premises in the current climate, look at these property developers and mega rich dragons den type characters some have been bankrupt two or three times!

Im not saying anything dodgy has gone on here but as with everything in the UK there is a system that if you know how to play you win, ethical or not!

Just because someone works hard and is good at the job they do does not mean they give two fucks about anyone else and in the financial times the way the are many people are looking after number one after all you would rather see aroof over your own kids heads and food in their mouths.

Again not saying this whats happened in this case but its happening left right and centre at the moment.

I am not stirring here but carplanet was putting in rc rollers atleast 3 weeks ago and they said they were going to start doing tuning they also said they were scaling down and rc was moving in with them as to save on rent
they have also been selling of rs cars and two of there demo cars have just sold recently as a freind of mine bought one of them last week from car planet for around 38k so wher has that money gone and why didnt rc sell it

looks abit suss to me was they selling of all its assest then claiming to go bust once they get the money in?

From what I've read on Lancer Register, "Danny" was the MD and responsible for siphoning the cash out of the firm.

As a Director, he has a legal responsibility to act with care to the shareholders and creditors of the firm.

There may be a case where he has breached his fiduciary duty to the firm and can therefore be held accountable for the loss to any shareholders and creditors.

This is purely what I have gathered from reading the Lancer Reg forum and is be no means a formal accusation.

i think this was covered in a post over there

pulling out of time attack might have caused some romours to circulate thus damaging their income further
time attack completion would have cost lots but they might have been banking on getting a good reslut from it to get more money walking through the door

speculate to accumilate sort of thing and letting their performance at time attack be their big advertising investment
