cant you open it with the key and pop the bonnet, shove a towel on the siren to quiet it down.

When i had trouble with my clifford not unlocking the fob needed re-programming. The only way to dis-arm was to unlock the car and wait for 3 mins while the sirens go off. Then when they stop put the alarm into valet mode.

Not sure if you have the same problem but it might be wort a try.

To put the alarm in/out of valet is usually right hand button (on the side of the remote) twice, then the big fat one at the top.

Are your remote batteries in good condition ?

But not if the remote isn't working, then it has to be done from the switch in the car

Which model have you got?
If you enter your code for the alarm and put it in valet mode (via the plain view switch) it should turn the alarm off (shouldn't it?) Then try reprogramming the alarm for the key fob.

the red light on the keyfob will light up, doesnt mean to say the battery has enought strength to send the signal, try a spare fob or a new battery.

one other thing and bare with me on this, try holding the keyfob up under your chin so its pointing into it (this does work, its not to make you look stupid! ) and press the botton, this is proven as on top gear and i have tried myself, the keybob actually uses you to send the signal. trust me lol

sadly enough, that actually works!! if im standing too far from my work van for the remote to work i can sometimes point it at my head and it works, thus saving me walking a few yards closer to the van!!!
