i have a 51 plate ford fiesta, and iam thinking of changing my 1.25 with a focus rs engine, does anyone know of anyone that has done this, would it be hard to do,
any info appreciated

i have just finished building a frs engines 1.6 focus with a mate. we built it fro someone on here. but no idea about fiesta.

i would expcet the areas your gonna need to look at will be

driveshafts
engine mounts
steering rack/exhaust

ecu etc

is a 125 engine inlet at the front or back of the block?

Does your fiesta have mechanical or electronic clocks/dials? If mechanical you need to swap the whole car loom, IIRC. Depending on which engine managment you use of course.

 

There's a few of these knocking about, one races the Dorf recantly in Performance Ford

i'm doing it at mo cus of ure engine if ure not gonna run the rs box u need to swap the bellhousing round i've used the fiesta 1800 diesel if u run the rs box u need to make a box mount and cut out some of the chassis leg to fit i.e harder engine mount is a piece of piss to make took bout a day to make ull need custom drive shafts other than that its just plumbing and fiddling round with other stuff


p.s if u use ure box after speaking to cts i think ull need atleast a s2+
