Default In a bit of a shitter here, can anyone help?

Basically I've got a crack in my windscreen, didn't think anything of it and though I'll get on to my insurance and get windscreen cover sorted. Anyway I tried to add it last night to my insurance but they would not let me due to my policy ending in 3 months (fair enough). So then I went about getting a quote for replacement, who would have though that glass was so expensive! Best quote I got was £178 from a local replacement service.

I really cannot afford that at the moment and my MOT runs out the beginning of November. Anyone have any ideas of what the fook I'm going to do? Apart from paying it. Are there any private brokers which deal with this..

Any help would be great, cheers.

RAC Windscreens are usually the cheapest on price for screens - £178 really isnt all that bad to be honest considering that includes fitting!!

Nothing you can do other than save up for the next month & take it on the chin - I take it the crack is in the swept area then?

where is the crack? if its in a swept area on the screen then it will fail the MOT; but if its not, i.e. bottom left corner, i dont think the tester can fail it

Its in the bottom right corner, and yeah it gets swept. Might take it to the local MOT place see what he says, I though resin was only used if it was a chip not a crack?

Its on a VW lupo
