Default Black leather headlining

Has it ever been done before? Was in a car yesterday with a black headlining, and it makes SUCH an improvement on the interior of the car. I've got a few metres of fake leather material in the shed, so may give it a go!

Anyone ever seen it done before in leather? If so, any pics?

I've done a few leather leather liners on cars (not a rs) and fixed a load of high end stuff ie bentley etc...

The liner board on a saph/3rd is to porus and not smooth enough to stick leather to, it would look lumpy as fuck and when (if) the sun comes out it will peal off

imo the only way to do it would to have the liner board remade in plastic or fiber glass so the glue has somthing to hold on to, and it would have to be silky smooth!

Here's mine, fresh back from the trimmer.

I had bought some Alcantara-type material but he said there wasn't enough give in it to be able to fit into all the nooks and returns around chicken-handles, visors etc so he recommended this stuff.

Its kind of like a nylon wool if that makes any sense and looks/feels better than it sounds!

All I need to do now is figure how to get the yellowishness off the trim plastics and whether to keep them cream or get them painted?

Sounds perfect

Cheers for that pic mate, I probably won't go for leather now, I was thinking it would be a bit hard to cover properly!
