rather than bail out the banks with loans etc etc, the government buys into the bank using your tax money matey.

So start watching the banks stocks... you are now involved!

Basically the governments cash injection and involvement should 'hopefully' increase banking confidence and allow the banks to start loaning to each other and to business's and joe bloggs on the street...

Therefore stopping the economy grinding to halt matey.

And when the banks go back into big profits, either we the taxpayer benefit from the profits or when the Gov sell their share we win.

Oh, except Gov will say all the profit from the bank share sell off or profit income will just above equal all the cash they have had to pay out recently.
