Idle valve frequency
I'm getting my megasquirt installed at the moment and have it up and running but the idle is too low and it seems to me that the idle valve is currently not working as it should. Does anyone know the operational frequency of this valve? Its a FRST engine with the valve on the side of the intake as shown below.

200 hertz is the normal frequency for these valves but I have used them upto about 3000 hertz (3 kilohertz) without issue.
Also, they dont like less than 30 % duty cycle from my experience.
Also these valves are usually polarity dependant due to an internal diode so watch that !!!

Assuming the valve is ok and wired correctly, the ecu is either configured wrong or faulty
Not an expert on megaquirt but isnt there a force mode where you can open the valve to test it.
There is on other ecu makes

Well i fixed my first problem which was no voltage at the idle valve. it had blown the fuse (i guess when the wires weren't right). Now it revs to 3500 and stays there (ie valve is trapped open)
Here are the options in megatuner (only one of the boxes as you select either warmup or closed loop). The second image is further options available when you enable closed loop, i dont really get what way round some of them work.
I've messed about with the settings and have high numbers in there at the moment, but i've tried all sorts of numbers....
