I had a c reg VW polo as a 1st car..bought it off an old fella it had the steel rims sprayed gold, a reversing beeper and two wooden cupboards built into the rear arch recess , 1 litre 4 speed probably 50bhp when new and most of those had fooked when i got handed the keys.

My dad had a white Morris Marina with a black roof , thats how we rolled back in the day.

but then went jap in the mid 80's,toyota celicas(mini mustang),nissan 280zx.
then in the 90's they came into some money so bought a new bmw estate and have stayed along that route.
my dad now has a 1961 ford thunderbird as well as their bmw 320d sport-and his isuzu tipper!

back in the day though the early cars were terrible!clearly remember the simca-it didnt have the power to go up hills

The old man bought a mk2 rs2000 brand new, but specc'd it in beige

He still regrets selling it now as well! Especially as it was sold early 90's when it was worth fuck all, would be a different story now.

I've never had any crappy cars.

My Dad had a Diahatsu Sport Track with a General Lee air horn on it, was a bit embarrasing being picked up from school in that!
