Do all rs500 intercoolers fit Escort cos or are they different for the escort?

No, if it is designed for a Sierra, then the angle of the inlet pipe will be different. Obviously this can be changed, but it will require modification to fit.

You can buy rs500 spec intercoolers for the escort though cant you instead of pissing about with a sierra item

i put one on my old saph but it was a right bodge it wont fit properly.

saphs and 3 doors use the same intercooler
escorts use 1 that only fits an escort
saph 1's can be mod'd to fit
but to be honest you'd be better off just selling your saph 1 and buying a proper escort 1

Cutting the inlet off and repositioning it at the currect angle.

its not that bad to re angle the inlet & outlet pipes

we had to do that then chop an inch/half off the bottom of one to get it to fit the van
