Default track day tyres

apart from 888's what other options are there

they would be for 16" wheels so im after 225-40, 215-40

something around that

AFAIK they don't make them for 16's with a 40 profile

Here are the 16's track tyres

Yokohama used to do the A005 full slick in 190/580/16 - comparable to 195/45/16 road tyres, BUT finding them is nigh on impossible!!! Demon Thieves list them but can never get hold of any, cos yoko are permanently out of uk stock.

16" track tyres are a right PITA to source, hence why a lot of people either size down to 15"s or up to 17"s

Its finding them that'll be the biggest challenge.

I used to pay about Ł120 per tyre (new Yoko A005's) but they'd last ages and ages.

The last price i had for new 16" slicks were of Khumo and they were nearly Ł180 each!!!!

Fcuk that, so i went down to 15"s and threw some R888's on! Cheap as well from Martin @ Reyland.

Cos then you have to shell out again for the wheels and the tyres are more expensive

If you bought proper size wheels in the first place you won't have that trobule.
