any electricians - advice on wire diameter
Right i am going t be running power to my shed from the main consumer unit in the house to a secondary consumer unit in the shed that will be used to run power to the shed and also the garage that is joined on next door along with a lighting circuit for both and also a seperate power circuit for the pond electrics.
The maximum that will be runnnig off thefeed to the secondary consumer unit will be...
3 hallogen strip lights
1 med pond pump + 1 small pump during the summer
1 small UV biofilter
poss a 2hp compressor or parts washer or 150amp mig plus a power tool or 2.
What diameter wire should i run between the two consumer units?
and i know that i will need to get an approved electrician to actually connect everything but i can do all the wiring ready for him to come just want the wires in situe so its alot cheaper.

sorry was half dead last night! yeah its not halogen but florecent strips that i have uin the shed and garage already running off an extension lead but wanna do it properly now!
yeah it would be armoured cable and would be clipped to the wall.... i would say it woud be between 20 - 30mtrs of armoured run between consumer units.
