Default Quest about Diff and Diff oil

When me car is up in High MPH i got a film of diff oil over the back of my car. Suppose this could be cos i have over filled it maybe? If so what the best way to get it at the right level of oil when its on the car, and if its not over filled where would it leak from?

If the diff is at the wrong level.Just undo the filling nut and wait. When no more comes out it is right.Make sure car is on flat road.As the level is the bolt hole.

You sure it diff oil

Either Jack the front up the same as rear or find a friendly garage who will borrow you a ramp for 5 mins.

Need to do it over a pit or drive on/4 poster ramp if u want it really flat

Should be easy to spot if its leaking from diff once you get under there

Could be gearbox oil?

Did you take complete engine/box out when you had rebuild or split engine off box
in car?????

Ahhh,if you've got puddle at rear must be diff

4 places it could leak, input seal on front, driveshaft seals(1 either side),
or rear cover(very unlikely)

Unless when the car was so low you've worn/cracked the bottom of diff casing.................looking on the bright side
