i wouldnt have thought they use metal in rally cars ...
not only due to the weight but if damp it is slippy i would expect they use carbon !!?

Do you mean the chequer-board stuff? Me and my Uncle just went to a local metal fabrication yard (in the Highlands) to get some for his Defender that he was doing up... I realise this isn't local to you but there must be an equivalent in your area too.

Mate, this was quite a while ago now- i really can't remember. It was a lot less than I thought it was going to be tho! Price per square metre obviously... remember u need to fix it too tho. We used ordinary nuts and bolts every so often (it was used as a floor in the whole back of the Land Rover) along with some silicon stuff and the odd bit of foam underneath where we thot it mite start jumping up and down and making a racket!

or what about one of them road effect rugs i used to have in my bedroom as a child,, that aint been done either

OR,,,,,, tiger skin carpet,,, aint seen that in a track car before,, carpet the dash like the mercs too and have the head with the gauges in the eyes and steering wheel out the mouth

thats gonna get some attention,,,,, more original than a flocked dash too
