i went out of my way yesterday to save the company thousands of £ by doing some drops

guy called in sick and we couldn't cover the route so it was all aborted

considering that these peole were on my way home, and i can actually see one of the houses from my front door, it would make sense to everyone else in the world to do them last night and save the cost of the courier dropping them off along the way during the week

the fact i could have done all 38 of them in about 3 hours last night had i been bothered is niether here nor there

but just now, i get a call saying i didn't tell anyone and they had spent all day looking for them, rather than looking at the computer to find out which ones have a "Y" next to them as being delivered as opposed to a "N" for not being delivered and then compalining that i didn't say anything last night at 9.15 when i finished work (this particular imbecile finishes at 3 in the afternoon)

i gained nothing from doing it, i lost nothing from doing it, yet twatness has got a strop on, as usual

so, who feels that they can help me right some words down (and how the fuck do you speel right? wright? or rite? or write? i'm so pissed off i've forgotten )

mate we have been spun by imigration today, shut us down for 3 hours whilst they checked all our drivers out ect,,,, the area manager calls us up 45 mins after they leave to tell us hes had complaints about our deliverys and we need to get it sorted before he comes down, said we should have improvised

we couldnt leave the office till all of us was checked out and theres 30 of us in the building,,,,, and 6 coppers/imigration nob heads

they also took 4 of us for a visit to the home office too till ID was proven,,,,,, one of em is a 21 year old kid born in edmonton who never had hes ID on him pmsl

 

In fairness... you should have told someone what you were doing. Even if it wasn't the boss, just one of the office women/warehouse guys/drivers? Problem solved.

 

Iv gone out my way to help the company I work for because it was just the decent thing to do but do I get a thanks? No! just stuck on the same shitty wage and moaned at for not gettin reciepts for personal use of the van. absolute bollocks! workin is a mugs game in this age coz its all give and no take.

 

Never do anything you don't have to, never volunteer for anything unless you are guarenteed a reward, but make a damn good job of what you have to do.

i finished doing the drops at around 8
and i made the neccesary adjustments where they needed to be made on the records
she just didn't bother to look

I agree with Fraser. I'd never do anything out of my way for my work. Not that I wouldn't like to, but they just take advantage of you, and they aint gonna jump and say yes if you ask for a rise.
