Default Washing machine help- urgent

Today our washer has decided to start pouring water out of the dispenser drawer and flooding the utility room

Noticed that its doing it when its on a spin and the water is coming upover and spouting out of the drain at the front of the dispenser drawer, but doesnt do it whilst filling, only spinning.

Its a hotpoint and never had problems like this before, but have only just switched from tablets to powder and dont use the hot fill just the cold fill. Could it simply be a blockage of powder thats not dissolved, and if so how do i try and dissolve it? Already poured boiling water down but made no difference whatsoever

Any help appreciated as cant use the washer obviously

Good chance the drain hose is blocked. Its amazing the stuff that gets trapped in them. Getting it unblocked depends on the machine but isn't usually too difficult. very unlikely to be a powder blockage.

i'm guessing its a super silent hotpoint??wf860 or the like?there common for doing this, when they spin, they dont empty fast enuff so it pisses out, take the white panel off the back,in front of u will be a black sump that scewed to the bottom of the drum with a jubliee clip, undo that and clean the filter, normally a sock, colour catcher bra padding cause tht, make sure u turn it off for a couple of mins first,as they store 400volts on the power board!!

definitely not a super silent but it is a hotpoint, its a wma62 which is about 8yrs old. I'll have a look at the back, is the panel big or small?
