On this point Jim l would imagine you are very wrong, if it is not approved it is not certified to be operating with in a certain set of parameters that give it approval, they can be very close even the same but not TUV accurate.

Have you had the training on your RR yet as this will need to be calibrated,
And isnt there a Shoot out acreditation you need to be trained for also if you want to have that status.

Mike

so your saying a dyno is checked and approved to be to tuv standard
a year goes by does barly anywork it then becomes not tuv approved
so they have it re checked so it can be tuv approved again and it hasnt changed

are you saying between the time its tuv approval had ran out and it was re-tested that it was not to tuv standards ?

and stop saying daddy ffs

Jim l am about to survey a 61m yacht it is called a Lloyds 5 year survey, if l do not have it surveyed with in a give time frame is is considered to be out of class, l would very much imagine that if their is a renewal date of the TUV inspection of your daddys dyno and it is not re-checked then yes it will be considered non tuv, same as the yacht l am about to do. If it has a renewal date it is there for a reason

Its 1 engine we are pushing the boundries with does that make them all unreliable,
The normal run of the mill 500hp engines are 100% reliable so the comment could be seen as a little misleading.

Thats a fair point based on your limited experience of your pops dyno, other may well vary a large amount,

No offense Mark all tuners have niggles if pushing the limit, maybe you should keep your conquests quiet if you dont want negative comments.

MAD,SCS,REYLAND,JULIAN GODFREY ARE COSWORTH.

YOU choose to broadcast your engines, note JG,SCS dont come on here, maybe a BB isnt the best place to run a company?More damage than good IMHO because your achievements will always get negatives, the internet is great for adverts but do owt wrong your no good.

Theres a yes and no to that, The rumur mill goes in to overdrive if you are not open about it,
I have had many people say to me they love to see whats going on, and when you look at it the only problems we have had is the head gasket not bad seing there are not many 800hp or nearly YB engines in the UK.

The trouble is the head gasket problem soon turns in to he's blown the engine on the dyno if you try to keep it quite.

Right, if this thread turns to shit again it will be locked, and every subsequent thread started will be locked or deleted.

I think Mike has said what he wants, ship has got his point across, and i think the majority of other people have done too.
