was so glad to read of ya cats return, will be thinking of him tonight, hope he's gna be ok i really do. good luck mate. bludy resiliant cats are, suprisingly so. a tail isnt to much of a bother ( might put him in his place next time he think of doing a disapearing act).
either way at least you know have him back, he's safe, your minds at rest and whatever happens, he is no longer in pain.

again, i really am hoping it turns out for the best, i can fully empathise with your situation.

Cheers man! It could of been alot lot worse! At least he wont of died in pain on his own in the middle of nowhere.

I am expecting a call in the early hours to let us know what the score is. TBH he has done very well to get himself home given his injuries. As you say, resiliant little fucker!

Ernie has had his operation and may now be called stumpy! I havnt been able to go back and see him yet. His pelvis is fine which is a god send he just has very badly bruised hind quaters. He is on a catherter at the mo so we dont know about his bladder. It might be that we have to take him into the garden for a squeeze 2 or 3 times a day.

As usual he is a real hit with all the ladies at the vets and has wolfed his brekkie down! The receptionist I spoke to says she is very taken with him as he is so affectionate and full of good spirit!

As soon as he is home I will get some pics up for you to see the little sod, in all his stumpy tailed glory. I am a bit upset my handsome boy has lost his tail, but thank god as at least he is back safe, so we can continue are RS Turbo building exploits together.

Thanks again peeps!

Chuffed to bits that he's turned up! Sure the vets will have him fighting fit in no time. But for £1500 I'd demand a bionic tail

Man if you had seen the blonde female vet that has been looking after him, I would happily pay £1500 for her professional services! Sorry probably in bad taste! I cant fault the vets one bit and will thank her when I get chance to see her again. I would thank her via this website but I somehow doubt she worries about things such as how to weld up rusty escorts! LOL!

I burst out laughing at that, how comical, imagine what that will look like to your neighbours!

I'm glad Stumpy turned up, even if part of him was missing. Good news

Cheers peeps,

Went and saw Ernie/no stump tonight and it broke my heart! Poor lad is in such a mess with tubes coming out of him and not even a stump left for a tail! Bandaged everywhere and a plastic coller on! You could still see he was over the moon to see us and was making an almost mad fuss of us all even though he wa clearly in a lot of pain.

Vet says it all depends on the catherter being removed tomorrow and him being able to pass urine on his own. If this is the case he will be home to recover! If not they will have to monitor him longer. If it is too painfull for him to be squeezed then that will be that and we will have to do the right thing by him. If he is ok with the squeezing he has six months to regain bladder control or it will be the same thing.

So please all keep your fingers crossed for the little chap tomorrow, he is one brave boy!

My fingers are well and truly crossed for you mate. Seriously, I wish you and Stumpy all the best. At the moment I am nurturing 5 wild Kittens along with their parents at my Aunties house. I have to go daily and feed them in the Garden. Not sure what to do with them. Ha.

All the best Stumpy.

Happy days!

Sounds like my Grans farm used to be! I remember being a kid in the hay store when there were about three or four litters at once, glorious mayhem!

If thier wild you have to be carefull as they need to learn to hunt for themselves. Or sod it just adopt them and let them move in with you!

Ha, I wish I had the space. My mum allows me to have two and that's all. I'm not sure what to do with them. They come once a day for food and then all run off back to the bushes and you don't see them again. Unless I put more food out. I've been down in the bush and their all there, sleeping.

Update as promised!

Ernie boy is now back home, much to the annoyance of the female, Bruni!

It was toch and go for a long time as he was not passing Urine and due to tail damage this is a comon problem. I cannot explain how happy I am to say that he is now pissing like a race horse (just like his dad).

He ha already wrecked the house and been busy establishing himself as king dick again!

Thank you all again for the positive coments!

Just in case you were wondering the final vet bill was over £2500 so if you have a pet please take out insurance as I would never of said put him down and I would of been stuck with a lot of debt! It costs me about £17 for tesco premium insurance to cover both so thank fuck for that!

Aww bless him, good to read he is back home and on the mend.

I pay about the same as you with tesco pet insurance, worth its weight in gold that is.

We had hell on last night with one of our cats, he went missing and ended up under the decking in our garden, took us 4 hours to get him out, had to take up some of the decking
