is jamie @ carisma no longer doing pimp my ride
??
reason i ask is a local firm to me is on the blag for parts ect for sponsership for this, now im not into it but they wont say if there doing it all the time or not at the moment, anyone actually watch " pimp my ride" and give any info
we are waiting for the list of parts and been to see what there gonna do ( police riot van and they gonna fit plasma tv, basket ball net and other shite too )
anyway thought i would ask

well they are a proper workshop thats doing it, they are well known for working on yank cars and also the guy who owns it done the first gumball rally ages ago
oh he also repaired the damage i done to my old bosses pick up when i crashed it,,,, one of the reasons im sort of helping him out, that and 30k worth of advertising for 2k

I believe Jamie was involved in some drug incident or something. There's a thread on this forum somewhere, was posted about 3 months back about it.
But either way, we all know if Pimp My Ride U.K. is off the air, its that 40 yr old chav looking virgin that thinks he's black that hosts it that caused bad ratings...

Westwooooood, what a c*ck muncher, wouldn't mind, but he looks like a not so cool dad playing up for his daughters mates.
No wonder someone shot him the muppet.
If i am honest, i'd rather watch Mr Foose do his work than see a car have TV's fitted to the bumpers and styling that will bring nothing but mockery to the owner.
iirc the best car they did was the MK2 golf.

A man who damaged four cars while high on a cocktail of drink and prescription drugs has been told he could face jail.

he is still firmly in business my friend.
he is moving to another premises,but is still in that one at the mo.he hasstopped doing pimp my ride for varying reasons.one of the biggest is the deadlines and financial penalty if its not made
jamie is now going back to his original way of working.he wasnt happy with the fact he had lost customers due to them knowing he was so busy with mtv and also hos work quality was not required to be that good for mtv as its done quick on a budget and it doesnt show on tv.he wants to get back to his real quality work again

Jamies alright,
He's lost his way a bit but hopefully he'll be back to doing the things that got him noticed in the first place !! Real lifes not all rosy cuddly stuff and sometimes added pressure can have strange effects on people.

Yep,
We're in Carls old place, but its now:
Clean
Tidy
Freshly painted everywhere - floors, ceilings, walls etc
We have built two new mazzanine floors for extra storage space
Built our own workstations rather than have guys chucking tools etc on the floor whilst working on cars
I have turned the lower section into a fabrication room for both businesses
The aerial business also has an area in their as its stores - which is whats paying for everything really
Made a couple of new walls/barn doors for keeping sections neat and clean from dust etc
Pulled all the booth to bits, cleaned out and all new filters
All new airlines and air filters in the booth for the spraying
Remade the office with new ceiling and storage
New lights where the old ones had been left and for under mezzanines etc
Pretty much remade the whole place short of knocking Lionels building down and remaking that too - although we are putting in a new access door so we dont have the main shutters up all the time
So yeah, been pretty hectic !!
We've sprayed quite afew cars already including a fully candy green job on an old corvette that was there for ages which you must have ssen if you ever went up there, which has just come out really good - loads of extras now on that job including getting the 600bhp V8 race engine running right and re-doing all the electrics
We were track prepping a GTR but the guys sold it last week so thats stopped for now unless the new owners wants us to carry on
We're doing a track prepped 300zx at the mo with additional rollcage parts, external jacking points like the Orange as well as respraying inside and out, new dash to be flocked, new kit, new brake ducting, flat floor, and a bunch of other stuff
And the way Ive driven the orange on the couple of minutes between mechanical failures has meant we've sprayed that fooker three times this year in the worlds most expensive flouro paint !!!
We've got a very rare S13 Onevia Cabrio coming in a week or so for a trick black with red shadow paint, a mate of mines beetle to be candied, a pro street mustang (fils from BigPower) and a couple of other cars that need some work done now track day season is coming to an end, so not bad for a new Bodyshop/Race prep business thats owned by a guy who cant paint or do mechanics !!!
I'll pm you my numbers mate, ring me when you're passing and see if Im there - although to be honest we've got 6 John Lewis's to do, and 2 large jobs in London including a whole new 17storey block so Im pretty much booked solid until christmas.

is the corvette running vw mk4 golf lights in the flip ups? owned by an old guy with a 'tash?

This was the other "other" one !!! lol
Onwards and upwards - sold the T28 special and am now looking at fitting a GT3582R HTA twin scroll with billet internals from Forced Performance, Tial 44mm external gate and so on, should be a laugh to get well and truly through the 500bhp barrier !!
