Default Back problems....

I imagine i'm not the only one but who has back problems and how have you dealt with them?? Basically over the last month or so i've been suffering problems to my lower back, not to the extent of not being able to move (thankfully) but a pain that makes things awkward. Started initially with a bruise to my coccyx which has now sorted itself out, then a muscle pain down there. Saturday it seemed to be on the mend but now I think I have a trapped nerve down there which is bloody annoying as it twinges occasionally unexpectedly!!!

Is there any way to avoid things like this? Are there certain exercises I can do to prevent this in the future? Its not painful enough to go to a back specialist yet but was wondering if there was anything i can do myself?

Cheers
Chris

Ive had a trapped nerve for about a month now...I cant sit down comfortably...i cant move my right leg very well...I really need to go to an osteopath.

Id recomend a good back stretch every morning...I kind of...get on all fours...and stretch my back up and down.

I find that its more painful sitting still, on my chair at work or on the sofa. Moving around etc its not 'too' bad. Blimmin frustrating!!

speaking from experiance dont bother going to a doctor!! go straight to an Osteopath or Chiropractioner and let them sort it out!! It may be expensive but well worth it!!!!!

I had physo a years ago after a accident and they sent me home after sessions telling me to do leg lifts (like riding bike on your back slowly) and stomach tenses/crunches without lifting legs or head.

They also said to get one of those big exercise balls to roll about on. The woman said a lot of back pain is to do with posture and muscle strength.

But it was the NHS physo
