i have a 206 1.6 8v there is a squeeling noise coming from the gearbox area so i put another box on friday all was fine then today the noise came back the cars had a new clutch the car still drives fine and all gears work anybody have a clue

are you sure the noise isnt coming from the Aux belt or tensioner ?

did you use the old release bearing with the new clutch?

the clutch n bearing where new there was no noise when put back together i did 60 miles then started again the squeel noise also goes up down with the revs if you no what i mean

poss the power steering these are quite common on the 206
try disconnecting it and rev it to c if the noise goes
also get someone else to rev the car while you hover over the engine and gearbox

try looking at the belts and if you can disconect each one till you rule each of them out.
