Promised the kids 2 weeks in florida next year but having trouble finding the right house in the right location & date we want etc. Looked on all the usual web sites but nothing thats not well overpriced & more than sort of say... 40 mins from disney when theres loads closer for sure i know-maybe not cheaper but the difference between the low end/top end properties is not that great anyway,

Flights not a problem already sorted these with virgin & got a good deal just the villa now but would like to find the right 1.

the problem you have is that it's illegal for someone to rent, on a short term basis, any appartment or house within a certain distance of a Disney park.

Disney have so much political pull in the area it's untrue.

I looked into buying and it was one of the first things I was told.

You will not find anything on Disneys doorstep that's being legally rented to you.

The whole point is if you want to be close, you stay inside Disney.

Sorry, but thats misleading.

Some of the best and most sought after resorts and complexes are within a few miles of Disney and its not illegal to rent them.

Infact....I am sitting in one now!!!

my brothers inlaws have an apartment near disney, i can find out how much it is if your interested, and how far away etc.

its got a pool i think, but then, i guess most of them do?

obv not been there myself, as im not to bothered about sitting on a fookin plane for a good 8 hours ever again

I'm only relaying what a florida realtor told me when I looked at buying a property, and he wasn't the only one to say the same.

If you can find one advertised in the UK, that's different. Maybe it's if you advertise locally?

Property I was looking at was within 5 miles of downtown Disney.
