where it was filmed at 208mph?

California, New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, England, Scotland, France, Spain, Morocco, Holland, Germany, Belgium, Croatia, Italy, Czech Republic, Poland...i forget the rest!! (you think i'm joking)

QUOTE
Sorry forgot some.....

New york, Virginia, West Virginia (had to detour due to road block), Tennasee (sp?), Arkansas, Nevada....i think that's it. Generally speaking without a downhill stretch most of these places only got a paltry 206!

QUOTE
Sorry for a naive question here, but Rob how the hell do you manage those speeds in so many countries and keep your ar53 out of gaol all this time??

QUOTE
I don't. Invariably, I go to jail in most places and countries. 6 States and 11 countries and counting!!

“The final leg to Miami was long and fast. I-95 was the only way to go and
the Florida troopers knew it. Armed with what appeared to be the entire
force including two planes and a helicopter many of the Gumballers fell
victim to their mobilization effort. Chasing a Porsche GT2 with a Union Jack
on its roof proved a little too much even for them however. Congratulating
the driver over the police radio, which they were sure the Porsche was
monitoring, (he was!) that he was going so fast, that they were
diverting their officers attention to “easier targets”. Unsurprisingly “Rob”
was first across the finish at the Mandarin Oriental and celebrated with his
signature donuts leaving the bellman and cameramen gasping for air like
beached fish.”

“A spokesman for the FHP commented, “We were aware that the Gumball 3000 was due to be coming through Florida, but did not have all the details. The first car to enter into Florida was a Silver Porsche GT2 with a British flag on the roof, and I can tell you now, this guy really was hauling ass. When your helicopters are out run, and your planes can’t keep up, you have to close down the Interstate. We took the decision to do this in the interest of public safety. My buddy reckoned he covered the first 180 miles to Jacksonville in little over an hour. He picked him up as the I-95 hit Florida, by the next time Porsche was sighted he was going past mile marker 125, that was an hour later and over 180 miles away. Do the Math, this guy weren’t stopping for anyone. We caught up with him at the finish line and spoke to him, I can’t comment at this time. He was followed by 180 other high performance cars all exceeding the speed limit by a long way, but not so severely. I hear the guy in the Porsche won the rally….we need faster planes”

A car that was thrashed (and alledgedgly had a front ender) and never aparently serviced. And now sports less mileage than 2 years ago.

Hmmm cant help but think my £55K (if only ) wouldnt be swapped for that one! Cheapest decent looking Gt2 on Autotrader is £68K so you'd have to be mad think this was a good buy.

so lonman's gt2's resurfaced again..
i used to read the m5 messageboard that he is a mod on. the guy could drive the arse off that gt2 and had 20 people come up to him at the start of his last gumball and say they were goin to beat him, obviously they didn't. that was the same year the reyland boys did it.
he also came up with the famous "its not a race, its a rally" quote that everyone uses now.

Lonman is THE besy armwrestler I have ever seen. He REALLY hurt my arm Still can't play squash or Tennis

I did get the last laugh though by having to carry him to bed! although that wasn't much of a laugh as he is a BIG bloke!!!

He can fcuking drink as well

He is also the best knuckles player in the world. He can SERIOUSLY hurt you. I could not move my right hand for 3 days. I was on the verge of going to hospital!

In fact just don't try and compete with Rob Kenworthy at ANYTHING... he will beat you and HURT you!!!!

THE CAR HAS BE FUCKING CLOCKED !!!!

must admit id be tempted at 50k for it,,,,,, be nicer if it had the plate too

car is a legend and shows JUST how a car should be driven tbh

give it a few years and if the gumballl got bigger ect im sure that legend would never loose value to the fans of the gumball imo

them mondeo tdci's ,,,,, shows that the diesel power IS the way forward ASWELL as proves hire cars ARE faster than ones purchased at the dealerships
