Tugged on the M1 doing 126 (indicated) but got off with 3 points and a Ł60 fine as the cop car didn't have video in it, only an average speed detector, which thanks to me having to slow down cos of a car in front of me put me at 94.6mph average speed - copper said if it had hit 95 average it'd be a ban

Also got pulled doing 65 in a 30 that leads into a 40 (so probably best part of 50 in the 30 and 65 in the 40) whilst undertaking three cars. Fuck knows how but copper let me off telling me "I've already scraped one lad of the road tonight, don't let yourself become the second"

Been quite lucky really....

I know someone who got flashed by a camera at 3 in the morning in a 30 doing 73!!!! Very silly yes, but quite amazing that he got away with it and didnt even get points OR a fine! Someone was chasing him and he thought they were trying to steal his car.

I got stopped myself once doing 105 in a 50 late at night when id first passed my test. Was poodling along at 50-60 then saw a car fly up behind me so i accellerated, got upto over 100 and then realised it was an undercover omega! gave me a proper bollocking and to be honest, that always sticks in my mind and was probably more effective than giving me points and a fine or even a ban!

i got caught racing a 5 series in a deserted industrial estate on a saturday night near an unofficial car meet. it was a 30 road i we were doing 3 figure speeds. we had finished the race and had parked up and were chatting before the traffic police caught up. i got checked out and told to fuck off home and the other guy was still in the back of the police car as i left. i reckon i was saved because the other guy must have been dodgy or had a warrant out or something.
