Registration Plates
Evening
Im after a registration and phoned the DVLA, after waiting 20 mins to answer the call, i was told it had been rergistered to a car.
How can i get in touch with the guy that owns it as its the only plate i want, i like the one i have got but for me this one would be .
Any ideas

You cant, the only people with that info is the DVLA and the Police............... so unless you know someone in either organisations who is prepared to loose their job for you, you cant get their details.
You may be able to register an interest in the plate with DVLA and they will let you know if it ever becomes available.......... but they dont offer this service for all plates so you'd need to ask them.

I think you are hindered by the Data Protection Act 1998. You could always try and find a "mate" who may have access to the information but even if you did find out you may still have the hurdle to cross of making contact with the owner as they may want to know how you have their details.
